bsplayer opens files in audio format while ati tv is playing

i have a nvidia geforce 4 MX440 video card

codec is ffdshow

bsplayer opens mpg's avi's etc in audio file format when i am running my ati tv. i run the file in mediaplayerclassic and it runs fine. what could be the problem. i have sp2 and dx 9. i just reformatted so yeh if that makes much difference.

There is no such codec as ffdshow. INstall DivX, XviD codec, an MPEG2 decoder and an AC3 filter/decoder.

i have ac3filter, im not sure about the others, ill have to check when i get off work. i use klite mega codec so i know its in there. ill post again once i know.

FFDSHOW is a DirectShow filter, providing access to libavcodec functions for DS applications like MPLAYER2.exe or BSPlayer. There is no need to install DivX Networks stuff if you have this software installed.

What H264 decoder would you suggest apart from libavcodec? Core doesn't like it's decoder to be distributed and the output of v0.0.0.4 is buggy.

Are you saying that the video won't play and only audio can be heard? Remember that you have to enable decoding of needed formats in FFDSHOW's property page. This can be accessed from the Start Menu shortcuts created during installation.
