bsplayer incapable of playing mpeg audio in certain cases
 

bsplayer is incapable of right playing of mpeg audio with Fraunhofer MPEG Layer3 audio decoder and customized settings for Fraunhofer MPEG Layer3 audio decoder (like downmix for stereo audio content or higher/lower frequency/resolution than those of the content itself)

My current BSPlayer version is 1.36.825, and Fraunhofer MPEG Layer3 audio decoder's version is 1.5.50. It is not the only version with this problem, older versions are affected, but I do remember even older versions that did play as required.

later edit: this occurs regardless of the active audio hardware acceleration level in DirectX
