Error installing 140.830 on 2kp sp4 .
 

It goes to install then says :-

The procedure entry point GetLayerWindowAttributes could not be loacted in the dynamic link library USER32.dll :roll: .
Using Windows 2000 SP4.

Just tried the older version I was using and installs fine. My system obviously don't like this new one.

Probably WhwnU's installer (adware) isn't supported on W2K.

That should be an interesting thing, to bee unable to install BSPlayer because of adware's installer. That deserves a good LOL

Do you mean I have adware on my system ? :( I downloaded from here, the bs player site.

Yes, if you read the main page at www.bsplayer.com you can see the bold lines saying that (from BSplayer v1.38.828) there is a client adware program bundled with the free installation file.
Also you can check the BSplayer's Partners page still from the homepage, or the Save section in this forum.

Thats a shame. I would like to buy this product but not if there is adware! What is the best version do you think, free or to buy?

Thanks, I'll wait then . I like BS player because I can't stand media player. Please don't let this software become too bloaty. If you add features please make them options in installation. :wink:

Just for clarity's sake: Tizio (nor I) is a member of BSPlayer's development team. He is just a user, like you and me. Of course Tizio (like me) is a heavy and "devoted" user and as such, we are sometimes informed in advance of things to happen (like the fact that it will not take very long time any more before version 2.0 will come out).
