New Monitor, BSplayer sound but no video. I just installed a new LCD monitor, Win XP Pro, and for some reason now none of my video files have picture, just sound. I was watching something just before I switched monitors so I assume it had something to do with it but I can't understand what. Could new monitor drivers have corrupted my codecs or something? I'm using a Radeon 9600 on XP PRO |
Probably the best way to check it's to change rendering method from default to overlay mixer and then back to internal renderer (default). To do that, go to preferences (ctrl + p), select video and the tab named rendering, |
Still nothing, sound plays great, no picture. I tried reinstalling, still nothing. |
Can you also try to swich to VMR9 ? Can you tell us wich filters are used to play the file ? |
Wow, VMR 9 seemed to work. I appreciate that. Is there any way you can explain what this change does and what would have changed? Thanks so much. |
FAQ on VMR9  |
Hey, thanks for that. One more question, I'm trying to play some MKV files now and they're stuttering badly. Will changing the overlay to something else restore their functionality? |
