Major Annoyance with default install of BSplayer! I am running Windows 7 latest Beta build 7077. And after installing BSplayer for the first time it causes Windows 7 to not remember folder views anymore. And the only way to fix it is to restart the PC and then you have to setup all your folder views again. The reason this happens is because "Internal Renderer Overlay (Default) mode is used by default during insall of BSplayer. And as you know "Internal Renderer Overlay (Default) is not compatible with Aero which is why this is happening. :( So can you please change this so when installing BSplayer it does not use "Internal Renderer Overlay (Default) by default? Also will you ever get "Internal Renderer Overlay (Default) to work with Aero? And if not can you please explain why? I really wish "Internal Renderer Overlay (Default) would work with Aero!! Anyway please fix this!! Thanks I use lots of software and BSplayer is the only software that has a issue with Aero! :( |
Strange thing, my annoyance is that at first run, BSPlayer swiches by default to EVR. I also like internal renderer and I am using it. |
For both Vista and Windows7 default renderer is EVR. Try uninstalling BS.Player from Windows 7 PC and delete all user settings also. Reinstall and EVR should be used. "causes Windows 7 to not remember folder views anymore" We cannot reproduce this in build 7000. "Also will you ever get "Internal Renderer Overlay (Default) to work with Aero? Overlay and Aero are currently not compatible and we can't do anything about that. |
Build 7067 does have some problems remembering some settings. I am also using this build (just upgraded). |

This is really strange then. Because I did install a fresh copy of BSplayer on Windows 7 and the "Internal Renderer Overlay (Default) was used! |

Tested on latest BSPlayer beta release. Same. |
I just installed BSplayer 2.40 build 996 And it once again messed up my folder views :( Please fix this!!! I am running Windows 7 Beta build 7077 |
I can also confirm messing up with some file associations. Just opened the language file before instaling BSPlayer 2.40. and after install was done, lang file was not recognised any more. Must re-associate it with wordpad. |
