.mkv files that i was able to play on Vista64 with BS Player do not open anymore. I get an error message telling me the codec is missing. However, when i open the screen to get missing codecs, it shows them being installed. Again, these files work on Vista. Any ideas guys? FWIW: VLC plays them no problem. THanks, Tommy |

Seven have a higher security level than Vista. So, if your UAC it's not turned off, you may have a great chance that installed codecs won't run. On the other hand, MKV, as I've said, usually requiers an AVC decoder, AC3Filter and an MKV splitter to be installed. BSPlayer installs by defauld FFDshow and Haali media splitter. I am not completly confident in ffdshow and I personally don't know how Haali works on Seven. At this moment I run MKV with no problems usng Gabest MKV splitter, CoreAVC and AC3Filter. |
