Will there be a Linux version? i use linux most of the time, so i miss bs player a lot. |
try MPlayer ... i think it's at least as good as bsplayer :) |
... no, it's not ;-) however i think bsplay uses the ms directX video engine for rendering (correct me anyone, if i'm wrong, but almost every windows player does). This way i't could be hard - if not impossible - to port it to linux (regretfully, unless ms releases directX for linux... ok, better forget this) I don't like to say this, but it's a fact that linux cannot really compete windows in multimedia stuff (SO FAR!!!), therefore it has a lot of other superior abilities... |
hmmm ... maybe linux cannot really compete windows in multimedia stuff but I don't know ANY movie-format MPlayer can't play... and it also does have good performance and a lot of nice features.. so i think there is actually no need for a bsplayer-linux-version... Hmmm..that's my opinion...maybe I'm wrong .) |
