Reading subtitles by lector

AllPlayer 2.1 test 16 has incredible option: it can read subtitles using computer speech synthesizer software! This player use RealSpeak TTS soft, which is the most advanced available speech synthesizer program (try RS on SCANSOFT webpage). This is a real revolution :!: [/b]

sure it's a cool novelty and all, but is there a practical application? There's no way to distinguish speech from other sounds on the dubbing, so to understand the spoken subs you'd have to turn off the sound (bye bye FX). Even then, i doubt there's a way to differentiate between different characters just from a sub file, so everything would sound the same.

Tommy, I started the thread about muting profanity based on subtitles, obviously someone in the AllPlayer arena has already found a way to work WITH the subtitles, have you heard of them considering the option of implementing a method to filter out profanity?
