Add key combo entry to shutdown computer when finished Also, the "Movie has finished playing" box should steal the focus and pop up on top of any other windows. I like having files playing, sometimes in the background, and it's incredibly annoying to forget "shutdown when finished" has been checked. Suddenly while I'm surfing the net, my computer shuts down because the movie finished and I forgot. But I also like to fall asleep in bed watching a movie. A few months back, I had to check the "shutdown when finished" box in the Options menu every time I wanted this. Why not add a key combo entry so for example, Ctrl-s shuts down the computer after playing? |
That's a nice suggestion (I was thinking to implement cltr+s into HWlauncher) |
If you ever consider this feature then please display a huge "AUTO SHUTDOWN ACTIVATED!!!111!11!!"-Window because I have a habit of pressing the wrong combinations accidentally. |
Shutdown option / Playlist After reading that : http://forum.bsplayer.org/viewtopic.php?p=19255#19255 I had the following reflection about the behaviour of this option: http://forum.bsplayer.org/viewtopic....r=asc&start=22 Short summary: In the past bsplayer used to uncheck the "shutdown computer" option when openning a new video file. As bspeter says, it is "more a preferred feature and a very sensible and wise precaution". And he is true, it was avoiding the pc to auto shutdown at next bsplayer launch. But this was particularly anoying when playing a playlist since the option was uncheked when second item was loaded. In the current version, this has been fixed : when the option is cheked, it only happens at the end of the playlist. But the previous "precaution" has been removed : the option is not uncheked when starting a new bsplayer (usualy the next day...). So, here is what a suggest : - the current "playlist" behaviour is maintained : the option is only used on the last item of the playlist - the option is always uncheked when starting a new bsplayer - a new feature is added to bsplayer : either a keyboard shortcut or a button will allow to activate the shutdown option ( http://forum.bsplayer.org/viewtopic.php?t=7395 ) If the new feature is not the priority for developpers team, the second point fix should be sufficient! Thank you! |

I agree! This should be the easiest way to fix the problem. (But a button on the GUI would be a very good feature) |
Yes, I agee, maybe a toggle button as for the Mute button! So you can always know if the "Shut down" function is currently enabled or not  |
si! sarebbe perfetto! |

BTW: I am not sure there is any reason to remember lastly selected operation - very often it'd be confusing/forgotten. BTW2: What about having this functionality on the right click for Exit button? ;) a bit hidden but who wants would find it ;) Cheers, JanV |
