How to play VC-1 video with wmv extension?

Hi,
Though i can play most of WMV files using my XP's built-in WMV DMO decoder filter (can play wmv3 well), today i downloaded a video with wmv extension and found out that it's a VC-1 file. So question is simple; where can i get a VC-1 decoder filter? I have WMP 10 but it fails.

Does installing WMP 11 (on 32-bit XP) make it play?

Is there any specific download link for proper filter?

Thanks!

Installing WMV 11 should do the trick.
Also ffdshow, CoreAVC, MainConcept, have support for VC1

You meant WMP 11? (Windows Media Player)

Also, i have CoreAVC, Mainconcept (for mpeg) installed but they fail to play VC-1 content. No video, just sound.

WMP 11
Once you install it, you will also have the splitter for such files, that will enable VC1 support in all Direct Show players, so other decoders such the above mentioned will work.
