Subtitles syncronization Hi all, can someone explain why in some filmes the subtiltles aren't syncronized with the picture ? Is there some configuration i have to changed or do i need to use an external program for this to work ? Thanks in advanced |
when you download a movie and subtitles separately, you can't assume they come from the same source... then you can't assume they will be synchronized I think there are some subtitle delay features to bsplayer (look in preferences, key definitions & winlirc) A better solution would be to permanently synchronize the subs with the video file. look for software such as synchronizer or time adjuster etc etc there are dozens of this kind of utils |
if your subtitles are earlier than they should, you can use a .bsi file and in [Subtitles] ... startTime=the advance the subtitles have on the movie. or maybe use subDelay=number of frames early. if it's another problem ( subtitles are late ), it's much easier to dl another sub file and try it. try divxsubtitles.net or a french site http://divx.zemeilleur.com hope it helps. |
a good tool to synchronize is subresync! it comes with vobsub. you have to open your subs and change the shown time by the delay you experienced in your movie -> sync |
@ bond: does vobsub resync work with every sub format ( .srt, .sub, .txt , ... ) ? I don't use it but I might if it can resync every format ( I use subrip ) |
A very easy program to sync either .smi .srt and/or .sub format subtitles is Vladimir's SubSync and I use it rather frequently (as indeed it happens moreoften that the sources of the avi videos and of the (mostly) .srt subtitles differ, than that it occurs that both originate from the same source). You can find it here: http://users.pandora.be/vlad/subsync/index.htm  |
