Autorun problem

I made an autorun for bsplayer, it works great except the subtitle.
This is my autorun.inf:
  • [autorun]
    OPEN=BPlay.exe "8mile.bsi"
    ICON=BPlay.exe

8mile.bsi:
  • [Main]
    NumberCDs=1
    CD=1

    [Movie]
    Title=8 Mile
    Directory=.
    FName=8mile.avi

    [Subtitles]
    Directory=.
    Sub 1=8mile.srt
    Font=238;Arial;22;1;16777215
    FontColor=00FFFFFF
    BackColor=00000000
    SubPos=-1
    StartTime=00:00:00

    [Options]
    FullScreen=1
    ExitAtEnd=1
    Aspect=16:9
    RunHD=1

+ all the other things are ok I checked a couple of time such as the same title and the files that were needed and one the cd.

So where is my problem, so that the subtitle works when I put in my cd ??

In the subtitles section the correct spelling is Sub1=8mile.srt and not
Sub 1=8mile.srt :D

I have a problem, I changed that but if I copy the movie with all the files on cd it starts on my win xp computer but if I start it on my win. ME computer it only starts bplayer. I changed the too this: Directory=\
is there an problem with bsplayer and the command lines and win ME ?

HackerWerger 29th June 2003 04:39 PM

Command lines? :?
Do you use HW BSplayer autorun or any other launcher?
You must tell me more info in order to help you. :roll:

HackerWerger 5th July 2003 09:13 AM

Syntix if you use HW BSplayer Autorun, please download the new version 1.520, which fixes the windows9x/me problem. :D

I don't use a launcher just an autorun that redirect too lets say 8mile.bsi and 8mile.bsi starts bsplayer with the subtitle but this only works on windows xp because on my other computer it doesn't work, but I copied a version earlyer with this script: Directory=. but that one didn't worked on my win xp comp but on my win me cmp it worked :S
So I think its in the directory thing but maybe this is just an problem in windows me or am I wrong ??

HackerWerger 5th July 2003 04:40 PM

I see... I don't know about .bsi files cause I don't use them. I use bsplayer.ini files instead. This works perfectly in any version of windows!
:wink:
The autorun.inf will be something like that:
OPEN=c:\program files\bsplayer\BPlay.exe
ICON=c:\program files\bsplayer\BPlay.exe

and the bsplayer.ini file must be placed into the root of cd along with the autorun.inf. If you don't know how to make one, I'll tell you: It has the same content with .bsi files. :D

Syntix 6th July 2003 09:48 AM

yeah but how does bsplayer.ini open when theres no command in autorun.inf ??
and why do you put you dir too you hard disk because I don't one too install bsplayer but it should run from the cd, thats much easyer.

HackerWerger 6th July 2003 03:48 PM

The directory of bsplayer in autorun.inf isn't a problem. You can change it if you want.
Now, there is no command line in autorun.inf cause it isn't needed!
BSplayer can locate the bsplayer.ini file automatically.
Just put the autorun.inf and the bsplayer.ini file into the root of the cd.
That's all! :D

Syntix 6th July 2003 04:01 PM

Yes but I don't think the problem is bsplayer.ini or bsplayer.bsi I think the problem is the directory=. and directory=/

maybe somewhone else knows that ??

That is the problem! Not the subtitles! You said that the movie doesn't load in windowsME. Am i correct? So, the .bsi file isn't loaded. So, try what I already told you.
You can use an image to view the result instead of burning a cd-r or cd-rw. :wink:[/list]

It is not enough to post the structure of ini files but thr cd structure to see where is the mistake. Autorun, if is corectly writen, do the same thing on any windows, xp or me. The folder represented by ./ mean a folder up. Read more carefully the documentation about ini files in doc folder.

Syntix 7th July 2003 06:26 PM

No thats not the problem, because on my win me comp it loads the bsplayer but not the movie and subtitle so the [movie].bsi file is ok, and what do you mean adicoto in some simpler english I'm dutch and I don't understand you 100% perfectly ??
