Turn off hardware acceleration

I connected my TV to my NVIDIA GeForce4 video card using an S-Video cable. I use my TV to view movies. I use the setting clone on my NVIDIA videocard.

The TV shows the complete (PC)screen. I can only watch (DivX) movies in Windows Media Player by TURNING OFF hardware acceleration. If this option is turned on, the screen stays blacks.

This is what happens to BSplayer too. On my TV screen the screen stays black. On my PC it is okay.

Is it possible to turn hardware acceleration off?
Or is there another solution to watch movies on my TV screen using programms like BSplayer.

Thanks,
NNV

You can probably do that by right-clicking on an empty part of your screen. Select "properties", select "settings" then "advanced" and then there will probably be a tab "performance" or something like that, where you can change setting of hardware acceleration.

Another option could perhaps be checking of (=selecting) "Force RGB mode" on "Video"-tab of "Options"/"Preferences".

However, that being said: maybe it is not at all necessary to turn off hardware acceleration!

I have not done so and I've got no problems whatsoever with displaying both video-files and subtitle-files both on PC-monitor and (in clone mode) on TV. Have a look here
