What happened to screen shots?

For some reason when I try to make a screen shot it doesnt do anything...it used to work before. I click "p" or "shaft+p" and nothing happens...what should i do?

check your bsplayer video preferences.
the screenshots feature is known not to work in overlay mode 2.
other modes should be ok
