New BSPlayer: Plays mpegs slower (it's lagging)

I upgraded from .86 to 1.00, and now my vcd's (.mpeg) lag while I play them and surf etc at the same time. Any clues?

Does setting of a higher "Process priority" under Options > Preferences > General (in the middle at bottom) make any difference?
