bsplayer and directx 7

there's no bug report section on this board so i'm posting this here. hope i'm not doing anything wrong.

i recently had to make a fresh windows (win2k) installation and didn't update to the latest directx version, something i never do if not necessary.

here's a couple of weird things i noticed with bsplayer (latest build and v0.86b501) and directx 7:

-bsplayer crashes every time directvobsub filter loads. there's no possible way to use bsplayer and vobsub at the same time.

-with dual audio files, the audio streams are switched; which means audio stream 1 is recognized as audio stream 2 and vice versa. when changing audio streams (from mp3 to ac3) the volume level is strangely low.

Other players like media player classic were working fine.

after trying everything, i updated to directx 9.c and everything works like it should again.

Some of multimedia facilities require at least DirectX 8.

There is a bug report section. But you'll see it after login.
