I get exactly the same error when opening ANY device, wether it's a video camera or TV tuner. As I paid for the feature, I'd kinda expect it to work.

Come on guys, somebody must know how to get capture devices/tuners working with BSPlayer.

adicoto 21st November 2005 02:46 PM

As far as I know (from experience) there are some TV-Tuners still not working with BSPlayer (they generate errors like yours or qcap.dll error). I did't find yet no common point between them, as are coming from different producers and with different chipsets. Thing that lead me to the conclusion that it is possible that is not BSPlayer's fault. So, to help me AND BSPlayer's team please post here the producer and the chipset of your tuner (like Leadtek-BT878A). Thank you.

Some chipset are not fully supported, but remember that someone use cracks/keygens to active PRO features (read BST answer ;) ), and the pro version with some keygens says it's registered, but when using pro features BSplayer crashes!!!
I've tried by myself:
1. My registered serial make me use pro features without problems
2. A cracked/keygenerated serial in the About window says "Registered to...", but when using TV capture BSplayer crashes :)

BSplayer authors should make BSplayer fully compatible with all tuner/acquisition devices (and so please report which chipset your card is build with) , but users using cracked versions (if any ;) ) stop to post of errors when using capture features!

@ smdupree and axle I'm absolutely NOT telling you are using cracked versions
@ adicoto I'm sure you are not using cracked version :P

(my chipset and some tested by adicoto are indicated here)

Admittedly I didn't pay the full price for it >.>
I split the cost with a friend who actually introduced me to the player, didn't think that would cause a problem with the funcionality o.o'

But either way, it's a Freecom DVB USB stick, can't get any more information out of it than that :/

Tizio 28th November 2005 11:11 AM

No, it won't cause problems with functionality (if both of you have entered the same registration data)..

Anyway thanks for posting your device model

axle 29th November 2005 06:01 PM

Well... now that I've upgraded to 1.36 >.>
It recognises the device and i can select it, but i don't get a video window or anything or a way to select channels.
