Default Vobsub (.idx) subtitles in new BSplayer v 1.35 (b823)

Hello I am a newbie here.. but I was wondering... I have question about .idx susbtitles. I know till now that these kind of subs hasn't been supported on bsplayer. But in the new version of bsplayer, they have included this support. Quote from the changelog:

* added native support for VobSub subtitles (no need for VSFilter), external and embedded are supported

I installed new verison of bsplayer yesterday, but I still can't load those subtitles. Can anyone help? Do I really need to install vobsub or is there some other solution?

Can you explain this a little more? BSP supposedly loads any sub that is in the same folder of the movie. VobSub subtitles don't work for me, either.

I have movie and subs in the same folder and they all share the same name. It seems to load it properly (I can select it from the contextual menu) but they don't appear on screen...and I have checked it with media player and the vobsub filter and they work flawlessly. By the way, I'm using 1.37.

one more thing, the film and the subtitles MUST have the same name.

Careful with that!

hitch.avi
hitch.srt

or

hitch.23432.324.dgdsgas.325423.avi
hitch.23432.324.dgdsgas.325423.idx
hitch.23432.324.dgdsgas.325423.sub

I applied similar settings but still don't work. It's weird because BSP loads them, but it's impossible to show them up. And yes, they all have the same name, I even tried to change them the name, put them in another folder and load them manually, but in this case it's worse, BSP even load it!

here it;s .idx and .sub from the longest yard

go to your films and copy the name of the film

and add it to these subtitles ( it doesn;t matter if they are not for that film )

eg: a film you have like Terminator.avi

so take these two and rename them with

Terminator.sub
Terminator.idx

and now double click on Terminator.avi

and then watch it and jump to the minute 2 of the film and you should

see the subtitles

i should wooorkkk, lol!!

i could even change the language

open the attachment, and see the photo. it was from another film because i don;t have the longest yard but it worked

I have the version 1.37 ( not pro )

Good luckkkk!!!!

Maybe try to change the rendering mode you use to display movies. To do so, go to Preferences -> Video -> Video rendering

Yes, but usually subtitles come in .rar format. That was the ideea. And to use them like this I think is the new option from BSPlayer (unrar.dll must be in the folder is specified)

Na, windows media player + vobsub filter works. Format C? God, it's a recently formatted system, this is not the solution :P
