subtitles background

i can't get subtitles background to work. any ideas why? i'm using latest BSPlayer.

Choose the colour, add it to custom colours, click on it and all should be OK. Remember to uncheck transparent subtitles.

Have you tried to select "Draw subtitles to overlay surface" under Subtitles settings?
Maybe try also to change the video rendering mode.
Which version have you installed?

OK. i show subtitles now with FFDShow and everything works fine
