why are my files being played upside down?

I've been finding that numerous files play upside down in bs player, but right side up on all other players. Does anyone know what's going on?

Thanks,
k.

If you are using ffdshow and win98 sometimes this error occur. If so, in ffdshow options you will find an option to rotate image.

I'm running XP professional and not running ffdshow....

OK then, can you tell what filters are used to decode those files (options->filters) and in video rendering options if you are using internal renderer (default) ?

Options shows that it's using MPEG-1 decoder...

In video rendering options can you swich between internsl renderer (default) and directdraw ? See what's happening ?

Options->preferences->video and on right hand you have 3 labels. Last one is Video rendering
