Audio out of sync after freeze

After a freeze of BSplayer the audio of all my divxmovies was out of sync.

I managed to solve it by a system resore in Windows XP. Is there an easier way?

Lot's of forums on DivX encoding show complains about audio desynch... or used to. So, it may be related to the movie, and the way that the wav stream(s) have been muxed with video. Then the workaround would be to open the movie with nandub and re-mux with a big value (500ms) for the preroll buffer. It's quite easy and you don't change the quality of the movie if you check "direct stream copy" for all the streams.

Or maybe I'm completely wrong.

What is the bitrate of your movie and the power of your PC?
Do you have the problem with all movies ?

 I apologize, was a bit tired, didn't read carefully the question

Maybe it's my english, but I don't really understand the situation.
What do you mean by a freeze? Did you pause the movie with a key stroke or did it freeze alone from a lack of resources?

Excusez moi,

Somehow the text in my reply did not show up. The audio got out of sync after my bsplayer hang. I had to kill it through the task manager. After this freeze all audio tracks of all my movies were out of sync. I did a system restore and everything was ok again.

I suspect it has something to do with registry settings. Can you confirm this an how can these settings be adjusted other than through a system restore?.

An utility: ClearReg.exe is provided with BSPlayer since build 472 in order to remove the BSPlayer settings from registry (sort of uninstall).
Once cleared, running BSplayer will restore default settings, that is mainly English, crappy skin, mode 1 video overlay ...
You'll have to setup everything again to make it at your hand, and there are a lot of them.

To avoid this, when I want to save my settings, I run regedit, explore the tree and make a export of the key: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\BST into HKCU_BST in BSplayer directory.

In case of trouble I'll just have to run ClearReg.exe and then HKCU_BST.reg

Hope it helps.
