You need an external MPEG decoder.
Thake a look at adicoto's list of codecs, there are three MPEG2 codec listed (one is also freeware)

I tried that already. I've installed this one:
Free MPEG2 decoder http://www.deskshare.com/download/mpeg2decoder.exe

No changes. I also have WinDVD installed on my system. What do i do?

If you open just a vob file from bsplayer does it gives the same error message?

Unfortunaletlly BSplayer can't handle DVDs using ANY MPEG2 decoder. Or JUST an MPEG2 decoder. Surely Elecard it's not supported. And the free one wasn't much of a decoder.
Normally, using InterVideo WinDVD codecs you should be able to play DVDs. Try re-register ivivideo.ax in WinDVD folder or, better, if you have the package, reinstall WinDVD.

Vob files are played OK in BSP. (cant have subtitles this or menu)

Reinstalling WinDVD7 didn't help.
Registerin/unregistering ivivideo.ax didn't help.

Can you use BS as DVD player?

I don't intend to change my old decoder, as long as it still works ok. But sometims I do test new build, to know what's new and to be able to help.

What's wrong with Elecard? :?

At least for me, it can't be used to play DVDs.
As for the free decoder listed in my post, you can't even navigate inside a file with it.
