Autoplaying CD with XviD/Vorbis problems

I'm trying to set up an autoplay CD with the filters on the CD so the user doesn't need to install anything. The file I'm trying to play is an ogg container with the .ogm extention, consisting of XviD and Vorbis streams. While it works fine on my machine, with all the filters and codecs installed, I get an Invalid File Format () error when I try and run it on a machine that doesn't have the filters and codecs.

In the filters folder of the CD, I have the following:

msvcr70.dll
ogg.dll
oggds.dll
xvid.ax
xvid.dll

And the bspfilters.dat file is as follows:

[BSPlayer filter def file]

AddFilter xvid.ax, {64697678-0000-0010-8000-00AA00389B71}, XviD Decoder
AddFilter OggDS.dll, {02391F44-2767-4E6A-A484-9B47B506F3A4}, Vorbis Decoder
AddFilter OggDS.dll, {078C3DAA-9E58-4D42-9E1C-7C8EE79539C5}, Ogg Splitter

[Audio]

This disk plays fine on machines that have Ogg DirectShow filters installed, but otherwise it doesn't work. Can anyone suggest a way to fix this?

Running a file monitor, I've noticed that BSplayer don't load the DLL from the .\filters subdirectory but from it's own directory. That's the only way I can make VobSub work without installation, as the AX filter is not enough. I've no experience with vorbis or xvid but I beg a part of your problem is there.

So, are you saying that the ax file goes in the filters directory, and the dll goes in the same directory as bplay?

Yes, I do

I can use vobsub but not divx 5

even if I not specify vobsub in bspfilter.dat
bsplayer seem detect the index file and automatically load vobsub filter
(I haven't install any vobsub filter)

I have the same file place as u.

but even I specify divx decoder both at the beginning and the video section
bsplayer will always popup a error message :
Unknown file fomat (DIVX)

kitsaros2000 20th July 2002 05:39 PM

@ xlv600 please how can i solve my problem ?
@ puidon try with the ffshow filters

- Since v2.15, Vobsub seems not to work with BSplayer v0.85.488.

- If your version is v2.14 or less, try to run the Vobsub install and see if it cures your issue.
- Try the Search button with "vobsub" in this forum, you'll see there is a lot of stuff, so learn! I don't remember all the reason why it wouldn't work.

"Extended YUV" checked in Div5.02 properties + force RGB in BSplayer video Setup -> Unknown file fomat (DIVX)

how did you manage it ? can i have your dat ?

xlv600 23rd July 2002 02:58 AM

I don't have any bspfilters.dat, Vobsub works without this too.
I've uninstalled Vobsub, removed both Gabest entries from registry...I can't make it fail to work.
But I'm not playing from CD, I do from HD. And my movies are DivX+mp3, not xvid+ogg or even ac3.

To manually unregister vobsub filter, you need to put the dll in the same direectory.
I would be curious curious to learn how many vobsub occurence you get in the movie properties with such a bspfilters.dat, as all of them stand in the "force auto load area"
