FFDShow information

Just want to say that newer versions of FFDShow crashes (at least on Divx 3 videos),when picture pixelizes. When it crash, it refers to libavcodec.dll. Same thing happens with BSPlayer and MPC. Crash is happened with two Divx 3 movies and with 2 newer versions of FFDShow (2006-08-21 and some other quite new). I installed version 2005-11-29 and now it don't crash anymore.

2006-08-03 works fine with DIV3 videos on a Pentium 4.

Problem only comes if picture badly pixelizes. If Div3 file is fine, there's no problems. BTW,i have AMD Duron processor. OS is Windows XP SP2 Home

The picture is really similar to the ones you have when the index is corrupted and the pixels are not displayed properly.. have you already tried to rebuild the movie index with some utilities (DivFix for example)?

So, your file is corrupted and because of it ffdshow crashes,
or, the most recent version of ffdshow can't decode DIV3 properly?

If the input file is bad you can't really blame ffdshow...

Edit: Ffdshow 2006-08-03 played past a corrupted section of "Stargate SG1 - [03x02] - Seth.avi" (CRC32: E06A01EB).

Is that 2006-08-03 otherwise good release?

I haven't encountered any problems with it. I can upload MMX or SSE build if you want.
