Problem playing DVD

I am trying to use bs player to get a dvd with subtitles to play, and the problem is that for the first 30 minutes or so (the first of the main .VOB files), BS only recognizes and plays the audio, without video [the DVD works fine on other programs, so it is not corrupted]. This is when I am opening the VOB files individually with BS player; it doesn't want to open the D directory itself, giving the following error message when attempted:

"BSplayer v2.12.941, Unhandled exception at EIP: 0059A1A7
If you click 'Close' application will be terminated.
Please report this info to the author with description what were you doing.
If you have internet connection, it's recommended to send error report, this will help us solve problems faster.

Any suggestions on how to fix this? Thanks in advance

Install an MPEG2 decoder.
I suggest you Elecard (maybe search for J7N release)

Did so and now it opens the individual .VOB file, still doesn't open the whole DVD though. Which isn't so bad, except that with each new VOB I have to reload the subtitles and then manually adjust their time to make sure it coincides with the movie.

To play the entire DVD you need BSplayer PRO

I'm using the latest BSP and NVIDIA Purevideo for MPEG2 decoder but BSP hangs after opening the VOB files. WMP plays the VOB fine. Any suggestions?

Unfortunally I wasn't able to test NVIDIA MPEG codecs (they require WMP and I don't want to install it)
Maybe other users can reply to you, otherwise try Elecard decoder (or just install K-Lite Mega Codec Pack and select playback only. Install it only if you know what you are going to do)
