Default How to remove damaged audio codecs ?

Hi everybody,

I have some movies where bsplayer doesn't play the AC3 sound, while windows media player has no problems.
GSpot tells me that I have 3 codecs that can handle AC3, but some are misconfigured (missing files). I guess bsplayer 2.15 is trying this damaged codec, while the media player uses the one that works.

My question is how can I remove the misconfigured codec from my XP system? Or how can I tell bsplayer to use another codec ?

Thanx,

vonBrabant

Uninstall the corrupted filter (how did you installed them, codec pack?)
Or use BSplayer built-in feature Filter control (Options -> Filter control)
There you can also make white and black lists for your codecs ;)

At this time, AC3Filter seems to be the best option for playing AC3 files. Install it, it should become the prefered AC3 filter to be used and solve the problems.
