BS Player in Vista - big headache

I have Vista Business with complete Vista codecs. Watching movies with BS Player (the latest version) becomes a nightmare. First - it always changes the Vista view scheme, since it is reported to be incompatible with Aero. Then regularly, several times during the movie it suddenly crashes with error report "BS player stopped working." After laborious restarting the programme it goes through the same place without problem and crashes at another place.
Also - some time ago it suddenly started with opening some library window prior to playing (which I am not interested in - but it comes every time)

Maybe you accidentally activated it at some time?
What happens if you
(1) Open BS.Player
(2) Select: rightclick > Media library
(3) Close BS.Player
(4) Now play a movie.
Any difference?
