Thumbnails in Videos Folder Problem

Hi,

After install BS.Player 2.34 PRO, i´m unable to see the thumbnails of my movies in the Videos folder. It´s show only the player icon. The Sample Videos and all the other video files installed before the BS.Player are showing the thumbnails correctly. I´m only having this problem with the video files. The Pictures folder and my photos added after the player instalation is ok. I have not changed any folder configuration, the option "Always show icons, never thumbnails" is unmarked.

Thanks for any help.

Maybe the SHmedia library got unregistered (but I doubt that the cause is BSplayer, but can't confirm since I already unregistered it myself)

Anyway you can try to re-register that library and see if it works:
Click on START -> Run... -> then type "regsvr32 shmedia.dll" without quotation marks and press OK
Probably this method will work only for Windows XP systems and after that you'll have to restart your system.

If the problem started when you installed BSplayer maybe it's related to FFDShow filter, I read there's an option to enable disable videos thumbnails in FFDShow, but never used/seen that option before

Dear Tizio
There is a way to re-register that library on Windows Vista? I installed BS.Player without the bundled codecs option. Thanks again for any help.

What happens if you restore file-association (e.g. of .avi-files) to WMP11?
(In Vista: start / settings / control panel / default programs /....)
(Or by right-click on the file ... open with > choose program > select WMP and check the box (below) "Always use the selected program with this kind of file" and click OK.)
Please let us know.

Unfortunately the same problem. Only the WMP11 Icon no thumbnails.

I think that that library doesn't handle thumbnails anymore in Vista (but I'm not sure since I used Vista only for a couple of weeks)
As I already stated I doubt that BSplayer is the cause.
In Vista there's an option to enable/disable video thumbnails. Try to disable and then reenable it

In Windows Explorer window (not Internet Explorer) click on the menu item Organize, then on Folder and Search Options
Now click on the View tab and check the checkbox Always show icons, never thumbnails and press OK button
Maybe you have to restart your system.
This way you'll disable video thumbnails, do the same and uncheck the last checkbox to restore videos thumbnails and see if this works.

Good luck
