Why are flv files playing upside down? What do I need to do to fix this problem? I'm using v2.34. Thanks |
|
What kind of an answer is that? It does, in fact, play "flv" files ... but they are upside down. |
Pleas provide informations about which decoder it's used to play the files. To do that, open a file, right-click ->options ->filters |
Interesting that you now wish to know which decoder I am using, when before you INCORRECTLY stated that BS.Player can't play "flv" and/or "mov" files. That is an especially offensive statement for a moderator (professing expertise) to make, since it states in the FAQs that it can. I have solved the problem myself. I am now using the mpeg layer-3 decorder. The quality isn't very good, but the flv files play in the proper format and not upside down. It should also be noted that playing the same files with VLC Media Player results in much better quality. |

@katmando If you have read the post in my link above, you know that BSPlayer CAN play FLV files, and there was a description related to which filters/decoders to use. Usually, fliped video it's due to FFDshow, that's why I asked about the filters. Regarding Mpeg layer 3 decoder, that's an audio filter / decoder, doesn't have nothing to do with flipped video (Mpeg layer 3 it's in fact the long name for MP3). BSPlayer can use FLV splitter and the apropiate filters to play FLV files. However, I am glad that your problem was solved. |

I have no other decoders in the filters menu. In the bsplayer folder I have installed local version 1.0.0.5 of flv splitter. |
When playing a FLV file, rightclick -> options -> filters ->advanced. FLV stands for flash video, so there must be a splitter and a video filter also. |

So it seems that the file isn't recognised as a video file, but as an audio one. No splitter so no video stream, no video filter for decoding. Strange thing. Can you post a link to such a file or a location to download it ? You may use PM if suits you better. |
I have only those two things on ANY flv file that I have. I can play them normally like other videos (with image and sound) but after rewind (which takes long time) sound disapear. Btw, can Bsplayer play mov files? |
Yes, it can. My post above (in blue) is in fact a LINK to an older post about playing FLV and MOV files. To play MOV files, best solution is to install QuickTimeAlternative |
Ok, I know why I couldnt play mov files. It was just because there was no mov in associated extensions menu in preferences. Anyway, I send bug report with that flv files. The same error is when I rewind asf file. |
