The problem is dts requires too much room. 768 or 1536 kbps vs 384 or 448 kbps for ac3. So you see, for a 2hr movie in 2 cds, video quality would be at most average. A few movies, though, benefit a lot from dts audio, for example, the fast and the furious and gladiator, to name a few. But for most, you are better off just as well with ac3 audio.
