I also got that sync problems.
Most movies work well, but some movies have really significant synch problems and the audio won't catch up with the video.
Sometimes the diference is even some seconds(!)
All other players (Mediaplayer7, Mplayer2, DivX Player) do it synched, BUT, they don't play it as smooth and with the same good image quality as bsplayer.
So is this sync-problem a tradeoff between speed and quality?
I think bsplayer should check every # seconds if the video is still in-sync and correct this, when it occurs.
(I got an AMD Athlon, 1Ghz ... it shouldn't be necessarily my CPU's fault. )
Once, I encoded 2 Videos with VirtualDub.
The first one, edited with Premiere in MJPG format, including sound, as one piece, has been well encoded (Video divX 5, Audio mp3) and also played very well in BSPlayer without any problems.
The second one was just the MJPG Video, audio dubbed with VirtualDub (encoded as divX 5 with mp3 stream), and there was ALWAYS the same sync problem, and it always got out of sync at the same playing-time!
And this clip was also played correctly by other players.
So is there a problem with mp3-encoding in divX clips?
I read that it's a very difficult task to combine both audio and video streams, because of a difficult bit rate and so on...
