Actually what mine does is starts over the same AVI over again as soon as gets to the end of first one.

Make sure you have NOT selected the Repeat 1 option. The control differs from skin to skin, but has the following choices: Repeat Off, Repeat One, Repeat All, Random. Check if the subsequent files get added to the playlist (context menu -> Playlist): they should.
