I created an account, but since I was not able to create nothing good for v2 I didn't tried to upload a skin..
Maybe I had problems too with the account creation, but when I did it I had many other problems, so I don't really remember what happened exactly..
Maybe you were able to create it but you didn't received a password? If this is the case you can press the
"Forgot password" link and a new automatically created password will be sent to your e-mail account
