I've been having a similar problem. I'm currently using build 941and using Gabest Matroska which I saw was recently suggested on this thread:

I have no problem seeing the picture, but i can't get the embedded subtitles to work. I also happen to have a previous build of bs player (build 812) and have no problems veiwing the embedded subtitles in that version. In fact, just about every other program I have shows the subtitles. For some reason this build just doesnt want to work. Any suggestion as to what might be able to do to fix this problem would be appreciated. thanks
