If you don't play OGM or MKV files you can disable Intermediate filters and see if VobSub subtitles appears again (CTRL+P -> Filter management -> <disable> Allow intermediate filters)
Let me know if it worked and if you can still watch all your movies (if they are all AVIs you should be able to play them all)
