Make sure you
explicitly turn off automatic updates to drivers. Many people (including BSPlayer's developers) think that using the most recent version is the only reasonable choice, and therefore may have implemented background updates. I know users complaining (at emule-project.net) about the poor performance of Marvell network controller, while I had no problems with it. It turned out that M$ had automatically downloaded an 'updated' driver which made impossible long online sessions.
