You need to install splitters AND filters.
DivX, XviD, CoreAVC, FFDshow, are filters/decoders.
Haali media splitter, GAbest matroska splitters are splitters.
I personally don't recommend nor use codec packs. The filters/decoders can be found on the topic mentioned above.
