DivX 5 is quite a different beast. DivX 6 on the other hand tries to duplicate BSPlayer's functions besides normal video decoding. From the two screenshots posted we can see that the problem case has DivX stuff loaded, while the properly working setup has not.

BTW, what is the purpose of MP3 Decoder DMO? How it is different from
