Audio drivers, are the ones installed by windows or did you downloaded specific drivers from the manufacturer ?
I also have this problem with 1080p since first install of Windows 7. My laptop, as is an old model (3 years), doesn't have audio drivers on manufacturer site so I somehow blame this on audio drivers.
There is also a difference, I am using Gabest splitter, not Haali, so I guess it's not related to the splitter.
Hardware OK, able to play 1080p flawlessy (core2Duo @ 2 GHz / 2GB DDR2 @ 667)
