Default BSPlayer crashes on files >2GB

Hi there, first time poster in a bit of a jam.

I'm using BSPlayer v2.57 build 1048 on a Win 7 x64 AMD system with an ATI Radeon 4890 video card and 4GB RAM. Ever since I made the switch to win 7 x64 from my previous Win XP 32 system, BSPlayer has been acting up whenever I try to play large video files, i.e. over 2GB in size. Smaller files all play fine. Usually, a few minutes into the movie, BSPlayer crashes and gives the following error:

Problem signature:

This only happens under BSPlayer, not, for example, when using WMP. I've noticed that it happens at particular frames, so that when I reopen the movie and scroll to the time of the crash, the same thing happens in the exact same spot. I've tried all of the renderers available in the settings, but this doesn't solve the problem. I'm using ffdshow, but I also tried using a different codec, however this doesn't solve the problem either.

Any thoughts?
