Documentation for BSPlayer seems hard to find, so please could someone explain the following:

* The difference between Overlay Mode 1 and 2?

* The effect of disabling YUV12?

I've found that with Overlay Mode 1 I can play movies perfectly as long as I'm not using FFDShow.

If I try to use FFDShow, I get a green display and BSPlayer crashes.

However FFDShow works fine if I use Overlay Mode 2, or Overlay Mode 1 with YUV12 disabled.

Rather than just ticking boxes until I find a combination that works, please can someone explain the effect of these options?

Does using Mode 2 or disabling YUV12 reduce playback quality?
