Default The new version STEALS FILE ASSOCIATIONS without asking!

I just unpacked the archive with the new v1 of BSP, ran the player once, checked with with a few clips and closed it when I found out it worked properly... A while later I wanted to open an MPEG clip... and instead of my default MPG player, ZoomPlayer, it opened in BSP. Of course, it turned out that during its one-time-run, BSP 1 audaciously stole all associations that it can set, without asking or even informing me of the thievery. I had to restore a backup copy of the whole Registry to get back my proper video associations with Zoom Player and four other players that I use. All this because the *$#*$#* option "Set associations on player startup" IS ON BY DEFAULT, while of course its default status should be OFF! Extremely infuriating. I already replaced v1 of BSP with a CVS of one the 0.9 line releases that I fortunately had backed up on a CDR, and that did NOT steal associations without asking.

Oh, and may I add that the stealing version - v1 - didn't even set proper icons for the file types it hijacked (the icons used were the generic "empty" type), AND that it foolishly associated the types with its default file name, i.e. Bsplay.exe - which, considering that I stored it as BPLAY.exe in my default players directory, caused it not to work at all. I'm rid of v1, anyway, so it doesn't bother me anymore, but it's obviously an error (if there was only one...)
