Renaming is working indeed. Although if sometime any improvement is made that requires an association to the name of the file, we might meet some difficulties with all the old autorun CDs.
I wonder if BST could guarantee OR to come back to the filename bplay.exe OR that renaming it ourself will always work.
I think it is a question of long-term reliability for such a software. Full compatibility must be maintained forever for the autorun CDS otherwise it make no sense to base our collections on the .ini of BSplayer.
I'm not sure that I make my concern very clear. In summary, I don't see the advantage of changing the name of the exe file. On the contrary, it will be a real "pain the ass" to be in a situation where we need to rename at each new vesion and this FOREVER !
I really insist to come back to bplay.exe.
I understand that it is not possible to BST and MAT200 to answer all messages but maybe they can give their position on that.
