bplay 0.8x was the only player I've ever come across which automatically put subtitles in the black border where possible (for instance, on 16:9 films) instead of covering up half the video image with text.

I'm disappointed to see that 1.0x doesn't do this anymore.

Any chance of reinstating the feature?
