Banding in thumbnails

When BSPlayer creates thumbnails for .MTS files, most of them have gray bands in them. The ones without bands are all gray. The .MP4 files in the same folder have complete thumbnails.

The main reason I'm using BSPlayer is so that I can view .MTS files. Is there any way to create clear thumbnails for these files?
