Does the paid version allow subtitles to be displayed in the pop up window?

Ever since the developers abandoned Dice player (only player that I have used that is more capable than BS player), I have really missed being able to stream video from my NAS while also displaying subtitles in the pop up window.

I am hoping that they will fix the play store issues so that I can buy the paid version.
