Overlay Failed.....??

I am pretty new to all this..... I will use that as my excuse. :)

I am having a message come up on program startup saying "overlay failed" does anyone have any ideas why it is doing this and is it a major problem?

This is not really a major issue as long as you can play your film smoothly..
however when not using overlay performances may be affected and getting this message is still annoying

you could try switching to the other overlay mode and see if it works better..
(open bsplayer, go to preferences [ctrl+P], video tab, and change the overlay mode)
