CRC error with BSplayer under Win4Lin 4

I'm getting this error:

CRC error! File content has been modified. If you run a system debugger, clear all breakpoints before running this program!

Win4Lin is a windows "emulator" that runs win9x series with custom drivers that bridge windows to linux. It runs on native linux (reiserfs in my case) file system.

If this is some issue that can't be corrected, it'd be nice to have an option for removing the CRC check alltogether.

P.S. Yes I've redownloaded it several times. Yes I've tried several versions and YES bsplayer is the one and only program that gives me this.

The windows is 98 SE.
