Default Black images on TV-out (Compaq Armada 700)

I've attached my Aramada 700 to a TV. Everything looks fine,
but when I try to play a movie (for instance a DivX movie), the
BSPlayer window only shows black (the same happens in full
screen).

On the laptop screen everything looks normal, but on the
TV things are black where a movie should have been playing...

If I play the same movie in the Media Player it works ok
(but plays jerky in full screen).

Is there a workaround for this problem? What IS the problem?

Probably because your graphic card doesn't support it (it's quite common).
try only viewing the movie on your tv (so no dual-view). that should fix the problem

Every graphics card has only one overlay surface... disable overlay and everything should work fine!
