Default File associations

A little bug in version 1.00 RC1 build 803:

The managing of the file associations doesn't work well with the mp3 files. Even with the mp3 option unchecked in the file associations window, the next time the player starts the mp3 option is checked again!! This only affects to the icon of the mp3 files because the files still open with the predefined application (i.e. winamp) but it's kinda annoying because it makes more difficult to identify the files...

Thanks...

I have the same problem, and it annoys me alot, and I check the website every day for a fix. I have stopped to even bother reassigning associations to winamp, as bsplayer will steal it back soon afterwards.

Default quick fix

I've had this problem too; waiting for a bugfix i solved this way: shift + right click on an mp3 / Open With: winamp or whatever.

i got tha same thing too! I hope there will be any solution, I removed BSPlayer for that, cause it is not that good for playing mp3-music.. I prefer Winamp, but BSPlayer steals it all.

When will be BSPlayer finally less buggy??? :?

for now you could do what i did: uncheck "Register extensions on player start" in File types tab. Then just reassign your mp3's to winamp. next time you start bsplayer it wil not take over mp3's

Have a look at this topic: http://forum.bsplayer.org/viewtopic.php?t=3722
or follow BSPeter's suggestion: you can always change it in Windows itself, through Windows Explorer > tools > Folder Options > File types.

Bye! :)
